I run Foo Studio, a small consulting studio where we take on challenging engineering problems that most people would rather avoid.

Most of my time goes into foo.community, where I make deep-dive videos on AI and engineering.
And write interactive essays on deeply technical topics: databases, AI, and building reliable systems.
How I Got Here, and Some Kind Words
Before doing this full-time, I was the co-founder and CTO at Diffie.ai, building autonomous AI agents that write and self-heal end-to-end browser tests.
I’ve worked with several venture-backed startups, helping them solve difficult systems problems and get new flagship products to market fast.

Most teams work with me in one of three ways:
Quick audits—a deep look under the hood of your architecture, codebase, or cloud bill to tell you what’s broken, what’s about to blow up under load, and how to fix it.
Slack retainers—invite me to your team’s Slack as a technical lead. I will review your PRs, sanity-check your architecture, brainstorm technical solutions, surface important resources, and keep you from making expensive mistakes.
Hands-on projects & migrations—for specific, scary projects and migrations, I’ll lead them directly, working hands-on alongside your team to take them to completion. From zero-downtime migrations to full architecture and cloud overhauls.
Tools I Love
With years of experience across the board—web, infra, AI, graphics, ML—I’m stack-agnostic. I can jump straight into your codebase and figure it out.
That said, I love working with Cloudflare and AWS. Building local-first sync engines. Or setting up durable execution—the tricky stuff that makes your product faster, more reliable, and actually better than the competition.
